Customise Content in Mail Merge Fields

Change the information a published field displays

This article relates to information that a mail merge field displays in email templates.
By default, each mail merge field pulls information from specific, pre existing fields throughout BrokerEngine. Those field include information within profile settings, card data, and contact information.

Below, we show you how to modify the information in commonly customised mail merge fields.

Prerequisites

  1. Access your Settings via your initials in the bottom corner of the screen.

  2. Click Settings in the popup.

  3. The Personal Details screen will open. Click into the Email and Report Preferences area to review Email Salutation details.

Enter a word or phrase in the Email Salutation field. Scroll down and click Save.

  1. Access your Settings via your initials in the bottom corner of the screen.

  2. Click Settings in the popup.

  3. Expand Brands.

  4. Scroll down to the Email Signature heading. Add the text and images you want to place at the bottom of your messages sent through BrokerEngine.

  5. Scroll down and click Save.

  1. Access your Settings via your initials in the bottom corner of the screen.

  2. Click Settings in the popup.

  3. Expand Brands.

  4. Go to the Logo heading and click the Click to upload button. Locate and upload the image file on your device. Go to the bottom of the page and click Save.

  1. Access your Settings via your initials in the bottom corner of the screen.

  2. Click Settings in the popup.

  3. Expand Brands.

  4. Go to the Name field and edit the text.

  5. Go to the bottom of the page and click Save.

Use this field with online calendars and appointment booking apps like Calendly.

  1. Access your Settings via your initials in the bottom corner of the screen.

  2. Click Settings in the popup.

  3. Expand Brands.

  4. Scroll down to Online Calendar Url. Paste in the URL for the online calendar that you want to share with clients. Go to the bottom of the page and click Save.

  1. Access your Settings via your initials in the bottom corner of the screen.

  2. Click Settings in the popup.

  3. Expand Review Links.

  4. Paste in the URL for the review site that you want to share with clients. Click Save.

The preferred name comes from the contact record of a card. To set a person's preferred name:

  1. Go to the side menu and click Contacts.

  2. At the top of the page, enter part of the person's name in the search bar.

  3. Locate the contact and click Edit.

Click DETAILS in the sidebar. Edit the Preferred Name text. Go to the bottom of the page and click Save.
