A different article shows you how to create an email template from scratch. Down the road, you might want to edit an email template. How you edit that file depends on where the template sits. Some templates are standalone units, and others are integrated into a workflow template. This article shows you how to open and edit both types of email templates.

Editing templates in a workflow
If the email template is part of a workflow, follow these steps.
Click the account icon (with your initials) in the bottom left corner of the page.
In the Settings column, click Workflow.
Select Workflow Templates.
Opening a workflow template
Scan the list and locate the workflow with the email template. Optionally, use the Search tool to find a workflow.
Open the workflow and switch off the Published toggle at the top of the page. Locate the step with the email template. Click the three dot-icon.
Select Edit.
Make your changes to the email template and click Save Changes. Switch on the Published toggle to restart the workflow.
Editing standalone email templates
Click the account icon (with your initials) in the bottom left corner of the page.
In the Settings column, click Workflow.
Select Email Templates.
Opening an email template
Scan the list and locate the email template. Optionally, use the Search tool to find a template. Open the template and make changes. Click Save Changes.
