Manually create tasks on a board card

Learn how to create a tasks for a lead or deal. You can use this option instead of opening the Tasks page.

Different articles show you how to create on the Tasks page and use workflow triggers to auto-generate tasks.

Opening the task panel within a lead or deal

  1. Go to the dashboard and open a Lead or Deal card.

  2. Double-click the name to open the card in full-view mode.

  3. Click the Task menu tab.

Creating a task

Click the Use Template field and select an option (or create a new template) if you want to use an existing task configuration. BrokerEngine displays the name of the template on the panel and auto-fills the description field (if available) so the assignee can understand what needs to be done. Edit the description as required.

If you don't select a template, enter a unique name in the Name field.

  1. Click the Priority field and select an option (critical, high, medium, or low).

  2. Set a due date for the task.

  3. Add or update the description (if required).

  4. Create Create task.

Options

  • Click the Assignee field and select the person responsible for this task.

  • Enter an estimated time to complete.

  • Attach a file to the task. (max upload size is 10 MB)

  • If you want BrokerEngine to send an alert when the assignee completes the task, click the Notify user field and select a person.


Managing tasks

To see a list of current tasks, scroll down the page and look for the tasks below the UPCOMING ACTIVITIES heading.

BrokerEngine also displays the task on the Tasks page.

  • To manage the task, click the arrow icon and select an option: Edit task, Mark as done, or Delete.
