Reviewing the Deal Detail screen

The Deal Detail screen has 15 sections.

  1. Tag - If a user applies a tag, a coloured bar displays here. Each colour indicates a different status.

  2. Deal name - Click the icon to edit the deal name.

  3. Stage - Shows the current stage. To update the stage, click the field and select an option on the drop-down menu.

  4. 1-Click Workflow - Any 1-Click Workflow assigned to this deal displays here.

  5. Sidebar - Most data and contacts associated with the deal are stored in this column. Click an arrow to expand one folder. Click a link to expand or close all sidebar folders. See below for details.

  6. Quickli - If the Quickli app is enabled, the app icon displays here.

  7. Related deals - Click the paper clip icon to see all current or historical deals associated with this contact in BrokerEngine.

  8. Tags - Click the icon to open the Tags manager.

  9. More - Click the icon to open a drop-down menu with card management options. See below.

  10. Important dates - Keep on track with the Finance, Settlement and Stage due dates.

  11. Activity Feed - A history of the notes and actions.

  12. Checklists - Use checklists to error-proof your work.

  13. Activity view toolbar - Click a tab to access the Broker Wizard, generate reports, and more.

  14. Activity View window - This window displays activity forms and fields. The content changes when you select a tab in the Activity View toolbar. See below for details.

  15. Upcoming Activities - Displays a list of upcoming activities (e.g., tasks or stage goals). See below for details.

Using the sidebar

The sidebar stores key data and contact information in widgets. The number of widgets varies with the type of deal.

  1. Use the links at the top of the sidebar to expand or collapse all widgets at once.

  2. Click the arrow to expand or collapse individual widgets.

  3. To edit widget content, click the pencil icon to access the detail screen.

Opening the More menu

  • Move board - Click this link to move a card to a different board and stage (e.g. convert a lead to a deal).

  • Copy Card Email -

  • Deactivate Workflows -

  • Duplicate Card - Copy a card plus its details and then save it to a different board and stage. A useful tool to reduce data entry when a past client brings new business to the brokerage.

  • Archive Card - Remove a card from a board. This helps keep your boards tidy and uncluttered. Click here to learn how to find an archived card.

  • Delete Card - Permanently remove a card from the platform. There is no trash can (e.g. retrieve a deleted item during a specific period) or undo button.

Using the communication tools

To communicate with third parties or record information, select one of two tabs (Notes and Email) in the Activity View. BrokerEngine adds a record to the Activity Feed whenever you create a communication (e.g. send an email) action.

To view the feed, go to the Activity Feed panel and scroll through the list. To simplify the search, click the filter icon and enable one or more filters.

Reviewing the Upcoming Activities pane

This pane displays scheduled activities, such as Tasks or Stage Goals, so you and your team know the next actions. Click the arrow icon to edit, update, or delete the activity.

Normally, team members do not use this pane to manage their tasks. This work should be done via the Task List. However, the Upcoming Activities pane is useful when you want to examine a specific deal and quickly review the next steps.
