This article explains how to transform the everyday apps you already use into powerful lead-generation tools. By connecting them through an automated client review workflow, you can save time, stay organized, and streamline your processes for nurturing existing clients or scheduling meetings with prospects.
Specifically, you'll learn to use Try Call and Calendy to automatically create follow-up tasks, streamline scheduling, and keep your pipeline full.

Prerequisites
To create the workflow described in this article, you'll need account-level access to three apps: TryCall, Calendly, and Zapier. You'll then add your BrokerEngine and Trycall accounts to Zapier.

Outlining a potential use case
Here's one possible use case. You might find others, as well.
On BrokerEngine, your team can automatically generate client loan reviews. There are several types of reviews, but let's say, for this scenario, we're watching fixed-rate loans that are 70 days out from expiry.
When the review task is generated, your team prepares a proposed funding position designed to secure a lower fixed rate. That's a potential win for the client, since it could reduce their monthly costs. The report is attached to an email and sent off, with fingers crossed for a reply.
A more proactive broker could turn the report into a two-prong lead generator. First, set up an automated workflow that sends a TryCall voice message with a short message generated by text to voice. Then, a BrokeEngine workflow follows up with an email message that says something to the effect, "Hey, I tried to call but couldn't connect. Here's a link to my calendar. If you want to discuss, click the link and book a 20-minute call."
If the client books a meeting, the broker has a chance to review the client's loan options and, at the same time, generate new business or ask for a referral.
Setting up the workflow
Let me show you how to set up the workflow to auto-send a TryCall message followed by an email with a Calendly link. It's a three-step process.
Manually assign a tag to a contact
First, locate a loan review task, open the client contact, and assign a special Zapier tag. BrokerEngine uses that tag to trigger a Zapier zap, which in turn triggers a TryCall message to your contact.
Go to the left-hand menu and click the Tasks icon. Optionally, enable a Task Type filter to display Loan Review tasks on the page. Click one task to open the side panel. Go to the top and click the contact name.
On a contact's page:
Go to the left menu and click TAGS.
Click the Add Tags button.
In the popup, click the field and select the tag you want to use for Zapier. If this is your first time, click Add Tag to create a new one for Zapier.
Use any tag you want. In this example, my tag is Zap TryCall New Lead.
To save your work, click Apply tag. Your tag work is complete.
Configuring a Zap
Over on Zapier, you need to create a Zap. If you're not sure how to do that, check out Zapier's help center. When complete, you might have a Zap that looks something like the screenshot below.
Here's the flow. When a BrokerEngine contact is tagged with my special tag (e.g. Zap TryCall New Lead), Zapier prompts my TryCall account to send a pre-set voice message to the client.

Automatically assign a tag
Manually assigning a special Zapier tag might be suitable for unique circumstances, but there's a way to automate that process.
In this example, we created a workflow that triggers when BrokerEngine adds a card to the Review in Progress stage on the Review board.
When a card moves onto that board stage, BrokerEngine adds the Zap TryCall New Lead contact tag. And, because of the integration described above, that tag triggers a Trycall message. The last step is an email message sent to the client. The message contains a Calendly link to book a 20-minute meeting.
