Users send document requests to clients through FinanceVault, BrokerEngine's unique two-way document collection portal. Once the client has uploaded documents, the broker (or someone on the broker team) must review and update the status (approve or reject) of each request in the DOCUMENT REQUEST pane.
This article outlines the various status options and explains how to approve or reject document submissions.

Prerequisites
Know how to send a document request via FinanceVault.
Opening FinanceVault
The first step is to open a card in full view mode. Select Overview > DealDash, go to the FinanceVault widget and click the arrow icon.
Setting document status
On the FinanceVault page, go to the DOCUMENT REQUEST pane. Locate a document name and click the field with the orange icon.
Select a status option on the drop-down (see below).
Reviewing status options
Approve
If the documents received from the client meet the requirements for this request, select Approve. This will show the client and other team members that these documents have been reviewed and no further action is required.
BrokerEngine does not send the client an email notification. However, the document request field on the client side is marked Approved.
Reject
If you select Reject, a pop-up displays. Add a note (for internal use) or enter a comment and send the comment to the client.
Click the Notify field and select the correct email address.
Use the toolbar to style the message or insert a link. (optional)
Click the Add button to send the comment.
Admin view
After sending the comment, BrokerEngine changes the status to Rejected.
Client view
BrokerEngine automatically sends the client an email notification with a link to the client portal.
The link opens the DOCUMENT REQUEST page on the client portal. The page displays the request with a DUE NOW heading and a comment icon with a number. The client clicks the icon to display the broker's comment and document request.
After the client completes the request, they click the I'm Done button.
Archive
Select Archive to move a document request off the dashboard but keep it available for future reference. To view all archived document requests, click the ARCHIVED tab. Archived files are not visible on the client portal.
Delete
This option permanently removes a file from the platform. There is no undo button. Select Delete, and then click Delete in the confirmation pop-up.
If you delete a document request that is currently visible on the client portal, BrokerEngine removes that request on the client side.
