Occasionally, it might be necessary to re-send a document request through FinanceVault. Perhaps you need to change the name of the recipient, fix a typo, change the email address, or help a client who can't find the original message. In this article, you learn two ways to quickly re-send a document request: send a portal link or re-publish the document request from the portal.

Sending a portal link

The first option is to email the applicant a link to the BrokerEngine portal. This option works well if you want to send a message to the applicant from your own email service (e.g. Outlook).

Log in to your BrokerEngine account and then:

  1. Click a board (e.g. Leads or Deals) in the side panel.

  2. Go to the board.

  3. Locate the applicant's card and double-click the name.

On the next page, click the Manage Access button.

In the popup window, click Copy Invite Link to copy a URL that opens the applicant's client-side portal. Paste that URL into an email and send the message to the applicant.

What the applicant sees

The applicant opens the message and clicks the URL link to the BrokerEngine portal. After logging in, the applicant sees the Doc Request page and the current document requests.

Re-publishing a request

The second option is to re-publish a document request from the BrokerEngine portal. The workflow is quite simple: remove the original document request, add the same request type back in, and then publish the request.

  1. Open a board.

  2. Locate the applicant's card and double-click the name.

  3. Optionally, click the pencil icon to update applicant details.

  4. Click the green GO TO PORTAL button.

Locate the document request and confirm the applicant has not uploaded any documents. Check the box next to the request name and then click the trash icon to delete the original request.

To confirm no attachments have been uploaded, click the document request name. A new side panel displays. Check the field for attachments filenames. Click X to close the panel.

After deleting the original document request, go to the TEMPLATES panel and add the same template to the DOCUMENT REQUEST page.

Click Review Request and then click the PUBLISH & SEND TO THE CLIENT button. BrokerEngine emails the new request to the applicant.
