This feature was launched on 21/02/2025 but has been temporarily rolled back while we address some issues. It is not currently available, but we will provide an update as soon as it is live again.

Overview

This article provides a step-by-step guide on how to duplicate finalized Apply Online applications in BrokerEngine. This feature allows brokers to efficiently manage multi-stage deals by cloning previously submitted applications instead of re-entering data manually.

Key Considerations

  • The cloning process in BrokerEngine operates similarly to Flex, making it familiar for brokers who have used Flex.

  • This feature is useful for multi-stage deals where updates to Apply Online are required after an initial submission.

  • Users can choose to either clone updated Apply Online data or start fresh with existing BrokerEngine data.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Locate the Original Deal

  1. Navigate to the originally submitted deal in BrokerEngine.

  2. Open the deal that has already been submitted to Apply Online.

  3. Click on the three-dot menu within the deal and select Duplicate Card.

Step 2: Review Cloned Data

  • A copy of the original deal will be created, pulling across all assigned information.

  • If the Credit Guide and Privacy Consent requirements were already satisfied in the original deal, you can mark them as Not Required.

  • Review and ensure accuracy in the Fact Find, Products, and Lodgement Funding and Generate the Credit Proposal.

Step 3: Submit the Cloned Deal

  1. Proceed to the Submission section.

  2. When prompted, choose one of the following options:

    • Yes, Use Apply Online Data – This attempts to merge the new application in BrokerEngine with the most recently updated Apply Online data from the original application.

    • No, Start a New Application – This clones only the data stored in BrokerEngine, requiring manual updates in Apply Online for any details previously modified in the original deal.

Important Notes

  • Data Merging Limitations: Apply Online does not always transfer all data correctly. It is crucial to review all fields after duplication. It's important for you to review and double check the details in Apply Online.

  • Error Handling: If errors occur, the safest approach is to select No, Start a New Application, and manually verify and update the data in Apply Online
