This article will guide you through key considerations for creating your Credit Proposal and submitting a deal through BrokerEngine for the first time. This will cover known limitations as well as sections that may need refinement. Both features are in their initial release version and will continue to improve over time!

Contents:

Prerequisites:

  • Ensure that both the broker and the logged-in user are connected to Suite360 in their integration settings.

  • Lenders are in the below list (Lodgement Gateway must be AOL).

  • No Company and Trust Applications yet. Please process these how you have been previously.

  • Must not be using an Outsource Provider Login (if you don't know what this is, it doesn't apply to you 🙂).

Known Bugs/Things That May Not Make Sense :)

Integration Settings:

  • Ensure that both the broker and the logged-in user are connected to Suite360 in their integration settings.

Assets:

  • If you’re refinancing or purchasing, there are additional fields that need to be completed under assets. Yes, it’s weird—we're working to improve this, but for now, please ensure fields like proposed rental income for purchases or the reason for refinancing are filled out under Assets/Liabilities.

Credit Proposal Page:

Don’t forget to click "Load Commission Profile" after selecting whether a referrer is involved—everyone misses this step!

Address Issues:

Addresses can be tricky, but we're improving the process. For now:

  • State: Use abbreviations like NSW or VIC (not New South Wales or Victoria).

  • Street Numbers: Ensure addresses have street numbers. For example, "John Street" needs to be "1 John Street."

  • AIP Address: You’ll need to enter an address for an AIP (just like in FLEX). If none exists, use something like "1 TBA Street."

  • Overseas Addresses: Not currently supported, but a fix is coming soon. In the meantime, enter a temporary AU address (just like you do in FLEX).

Product Options:

All product options need identical splits. If one option has two splits and another has one, you’ll need to add a dummy split to make them match for the feature to work properly.

ABS Purpose:

Don’t forget to complete the ABS purpose for products under the "Confirm" button.

Latitude:

Latitude is not supported yet. For now, select "Other" and manually enter the lender. Fix is expected late October.

Changes After Submission:

If you change the lender or product after submitting to AOL, you will need to clone the deal.

Linking Loans to Multiple Assets:

Linking a single loan to multiple assets (e.g., crossed loans) doesn't always work right now. A fix is expected by ~25 October. In the meantime, mark one asset as owned outright and unlink the mortgage from that asset.

What Lenders are Supported:

Currently we only support lenders that submit via AOL. Shortly this will include Simpology and Heartland. Here is a list of lenders currently supported.
